My name is Genevieve Akal, I'm a mystic and teacher of the alchemical sacred arts & yogic spirit science. I love nothing more in this world than our Divine Mother, and guiding people home to their Christed Gnosis within. Over 12 months, we’ll work with Mother's wisdom to gently dissolve old conditioning, let go of wearing masks and reconnect you to your body & heart’s holy guidance.

We will journey with Her Mythic Annual Cycle of Descent & Ascent where you will learn to embrace the full spectrum of yourself, and discover the gold within your darkness.

You will come to feel rooted, nourished and self-led as you rise to embody more of your power, creativity, magic and truth.

This is not about becoming someone new. It’s about remembering the eternal essence of who you’ve always been beneath the noise.

How the Circle Unfolds

The Flow

Sophia's Circle is a 12 Month Container - All Peoples, Women, Men & Queer Identities are Welcome.
We meet Online, Once a week, for 2 hours.
Spaces are limited to a maximum of 30 participants to support depth & engagement.
It’s best to apply sooner, as there is still an interview to schedule before acceptance and securing your place in the container.
Each month includes two sessions of teaching or practical, and two intimate gatherings in Women’s Sisterhood and Men’s Brotherhood circles.
The small circles are held & guided by Our Circle Keepers who are alumni from previous Sophia's Circles. This ensures a safely facilitated space.
Sophia's Circle is offered at two different times to support different schedules. If you join, you'll choose the day that works best for you (Monday or Wednesday) & commit to attending that same circle session each week.
You may join Mondays' Circle (6pm - 8pm South Africa time) - Starting 23 March 2026 - 8 March 2027
Or you may join Wednesdays' Circle (6pm - 8pm South Africa time) - Starting 25 March 2026 - 10 March 2027
Gathering times are currently aligned with Europe and the United States. Participants in Australia, New Zealand, or other Eastern regions are invited to join the interest list below. If enough people gather, we will consider opening a circle in your time zone.
The curriculum is divided into four quadrants. We meet weekly for twelve weeks, then pause on the thirteenth week to integrate and rest before beginning the next twelve-week quadrant.
You will also be given access to our private online community.
Only teachings and masterclasses are recorded. Ceremonies, practicals, and small group shares remain unrecorded to honour the privacy and safety of all participants. While recordings of teachings are available, participants are expected to be present for all gatherings. Recordings are provided only for unforeseen circumstances and are not a substitute for live participation.

This is a Living Curriculum

This container is a quickening of transformation because it moves in harmony with the living currents of the Great Mother, the Divine intelligence animating the body, psyche, earth, and cosmos. Our journey is not linear, but cyclical, rhythmic, and attuned to the unfolding of life.

Over twelve months, the curriculum is woven into four sacred quadrants, each devoted to the physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual dimensions of the self. Aligned with the great cycles of earth and sky, we attune to nature’s rhythms, allowing them to shape the pattern of our personal myth and the subtle currents of the body, illuminating and awakening each Chakra in turn.

The curriculum unfolds in divine timing, meeting each layer of your being when its current is most alive and available.

This is a tantra, a technology of wholeness, because we work with the life-force energy of the Great Mother rather than against it.

We do not force transformation, we align with it.

Our curriculum is rooted in practices as well as esoteric oral transmissions, because Gnosis is not merely information, it is Wisdom remembered through the Body & Heart because of a Direct Encounter & Experience.

The Divine Masculine as Awareness & Using Our Solar Willpower for Our Feminine Vision

✛ Having learnt how to do personal ritual, we begin the 3rd Quadrant by doing our own alchemical September Equinox ceremony.

As we begin our Hero-ine's descent on the Mother's annual myth wheel, her Kundalini energy rises to the Solar Plexus Chakra, the place of our will and personal power. We learn about how the Zodiac connects to the Chakras and how the Solar Plexus is a dance or correlation between Mars & Venus. (The inner parents and lovers who act on behalf of our holy inner child, the Heart.)

We gently unpack how we are in love and relationships, and where we may be pouring out personal power instead of using it to bring our Heart to a place of safety and creating our deepest dreams.

We also learn about Hieros-Gamos (the inner union of masculine & feminine) and come to know where we are out of balance and what needs to be tempered in ourselves.

When we reach Scorpio, Mother's kundalini descends us deeper into the shadow as her energy rises into the Heart Chakra. Here we discover the power of the voice of the Heart and come to know it as the inner Christ and highest guide.

We learn about the trickery of the mind or mental body, and how it has elevated itself as the Demiurge (or false god) in our lives. We come to know the ways in which our mind dominates and undermines the true voice of God, which is the Gnosis in our Hearts.

As we rise to the Throat Chakra we are empowered to activate our logos or speech, to speak and create on behalf of our Heart, instead of the fearful mind.

This opening of the throat guides the Kundalini energy up into the thrid-eye and crown chakra, where we welcome Mother's Holy Spirit to open deeper personal revelations and illuminations.

SPIRITUAL BODY - 4th Quadrant (Dec - March)

Rising into Our Authentic Embodiment & Bringing Consciousness into Our Matter

As we emerge from the Underworld of the Mother's Myth Wheel we come into our 3rd Act of rising into a new embodiment. We gain a deep understanding of the themes that have played out in our personal myths this year, and we become clear about the internal wound we are releasing in order to expand.

The Spiritual Quadrant is the final stage of alchemy where we fix more spirit, or consciousness, into our matter. We discover that spirituality is inherently material, physical and rooted in what we do in our lives.

In this quadrant we don't sit around discussing transcendent philosophies but rather we do the work of actually embodying our truth, authenticity and gifting.

To assist us in staying aligned and clear through our emergence, we are shown and invited to partake in doing a 21 or 40 day, daily practice of a mantra or a kriya.

We also celebrate with our Sophia's Circle 'Emergence Festival'. This is where we activate the gnostic understanding that we are all our own guru and capable of leading and sharing wisdom. Each person prepares and shares a 20 minute offering to the group, inspired by their personal passion, purpose, wisdom, gifting, creativity and expression.

In addition we run the 'Mother-Tongue Challenge', where we are invited to take it a step further and share our authentic expression on social media. We champion and support each other through this unmasking, as we lovingly and courageously meet any shadow aspects or fears that emerge during our great unveiling.

As we close off our heroic journey together, if you have regularly shown up for yourself and participated, you will feel the great home-coming to the essence of your being.

You will be connected and in love with your body's wisdom. You will cherish and trust your own heart as your greatest authority. You will accept the full spectrum of yourself and love the dark and difficult parts. Your creative essence will be flowing and you will feel excited about your life. You will be rooted in the arms of the Great Mother and be able to hold your truth and express authentically. You will trust life, knowing that you are held and destined to live in pleasure and wholeness.

Rooted in ancestral remembrance and embodied wisdom, she walks beside others through life’s initiations with reverence and deep listening. Her work honors birth, becoming, and renewal as living mysteries.

Christina Lila

Christina loves global cultures, ancient wisdom, plant medicine, UX, impact innovation, open source, startups, photography and digital design. She is a cofounder of Orinda, preserving ancient, healing wisdom codes in art, herbs, elixirs and an online wiki. She is the founder of Astralab, a cultural incubator in Los Angeles. She has built an eco-accelerator working with entrepreneurs around the world, and she is on the Board of Teapot LA (building urban “paradise” gardens)

Amber Wysocki

Amber is a mother, caregiver, creative, and trauma-conscious practitioner dedicated to supporting others on their quest of embodied authenticity. She creates spaces that are warm, nurturing, intuitive, and activating for personal reclamation and collective liberation. Amber draws on her years of experience & teachings in somatic restoration, bodywork, psychology, and ritualistic living, as well as the wisdom through her personal healing journey with complex trauma. She is passionate about uplifting others and bridging the Mystery and the mundane.

Kimberly Niyogi

Kimberly Niyogi lives in the northeastern U.S. and has studied astrology, tarot, qabalah, mystical christianity, symbolism, depth psychology, poetry, embodied spirituality, meditation,and numerology for 40+ years. She holds a Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Moravian Theological Seminary and practiced psychotherapy for a decade in the community mental health system. She writes poetry, mytho-memoir, and is currently working on creating a YouTube channel to bring her Light teachings to others.

Malu-kanoa Hewitt

Malu-kanoa is a Mystic, psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner, Death Midwife, and multidisciplinary creator weaving together mental health, spirituality, and cultural critique. Their work bridges grief care, alchemy, nervous system science, and creative expression. Their praxis is to metabolize shadow without bypassing it. Writer, builder, and systems thinker, Kanoa creates spaces where humanity comes first and purpose is forged through disciplined fire.

Briana Ivy

Raised Catholic, the youngest in a large family, I have never resonated with what I was being told. Always interested in a deeper understanding of this life; but felt alone in my curiosity. Studied Photography and married for 17 years. Currently I home-school my 11 and 14 year old children. My heart is with supporting women to become more grounded and learning to express, because I believe that will have massive ripple effects.

Genevieve Eustis

Genevieve is a student of the Great Mystery. She has a passion for the teachings of non-dual spiritual traditions—ranging from Tibetan Buddhism to Rosecrucian and Gnostic Christianity, Classical Tantra, Sufism, Kabbalah and Western Magick. She is a certified Sommelier, certified Vinyasa Yoga teacher, and certified freak. She is also a mother, a magician, a card reader, and a bartender/waitress. She loves the service industry and thinks it’s one of the most spiritual jobs that you can perform during late stage capitalism. She is an optimist but only because she is a realist.

Saundra Agababyan

Saundra is a self-produced music artist (artist name: SAUNDIA), on a mission to use music and personal expression as a tool to liberate, empower, and activate herself and others. She is also an experienced voice teacher and vocal coach, who has worked with every kind of voice from complete beginners to major-label artists. She is deeply passionate about connecting others to their authentic voice, both physically and spiritually.

Giulia Archetti

Giulia is walking her life journey through unraveling her passions that are rooted in healing and finding more authentic ways of experiencing life. She is dedicated to connecting to voice and movement as sacred channels of healing, expression and accessing deeper layers of self. She seeks more of an embodied experience than logical understanding and un-layering, deconstructing more than adding and fixing.

Shirley Aspinall

Shirley is a Waterkeeper, Death Doula, mystic, and ritual artist. After years of codependency, disembodiment, and severance from her ancestral memories, she now walks the priestess path, serving as a guardian of the Great Mother and a bridge to the Mysteries that have helped transform her. Weaving biochemistry, psychosomatics, breathwork, astrology, and ancestral wisdom - she supports others in nervous system repair through elemental healing, and the reclamation of ancestral memory.

Gerald Macpherson

I am an artist, musician, and mystic with a love of nature and the study & practice of spiritual traditions from throughout the world. I have been a seeker much of my life, and 2020-present has reoriented my primary focus from a singular 9-5 career path to a spiritually contemplative one. Since then, I have become certified as a death doula and grief educator and intend to build upon these skills to sit with those at the threshold of grief, loss, and life transition. I have also used my time to expand my knowledge and experience in astrology, human design, meditation, breath work, shamanic healing, and participation in mens work communities.

Isaias Hakin

I am 50 years old. I have 3 wonderful children. I want to be the best listener and present to everyone I meet on life's path. I work as a health worker and love my job. I like to go hiking and do yoga and breathing exercises, I like to challenge myself. I thrive in my own company.

Rhett Smith

I live in the United States and my home is located in Queen Creek Arizona. I’m single and have two daughters and one granddaughter. I love being in nature . The mountains , lakes, ocean and rivers reinvigorate my soul. I also enjoy traveling, spending time with my family and friends, working out , learning history , reading and meeting new people and making new friends.
